She has recently joined the board of Reconciliation WA which drives Truth Telling to then understand what practical actions are needed before reconciliation.
She has won several significant awards for her work in inclusive participation, including the Western Australian Chamber of Minerals and Energy Most Outstanding Woman in Resources Award. The award recognises individuals and organisations working to build a world-class industry that provides attractive career opportunities and enhance the recognition and participation of women in the sector. Mrs Galante is also among the first alumni cohort to graduate from the Master of Indigenous Business Leadership program at Monash in 2022. She remarked: "If we want a sustainable future that heals our land and waterways, then we need sustainable energy that cares for our country. Australia will benefit from this for generations to come."
