Ms Sara Long is the Vice-President and Managing Director of Capgemini Engineering in Australia and New Zealand. With over 17 years of experience across engineering, project delivery, and global account management, she brings a practical and customer-focused approach to leadership, shaped by years in the field, close to clients, and grounded in business outcomes.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from Monash University, Ms Long began her career at global technology company ABB through their graduate program. She stayed with the company for nearly 16 years, building a diverse portfolio of experience across project management, engineering sales, and strategic account leadership. Her work spanned industries such as mining, oil and gas, and steelmaking, with clients ranging from local operators to global resource giants. In her most recent role at ABB, Ms Long managed one of the company’s largest global mining accounts, navigating complex delivery landscapes and strengthening long-term partnerships.

In January 2024, Ms Long joined Capgemini Engineering to lead the business across Australia and New Zealand. Today, she is responsible for a growing team of engineers delivering digital and software-led engineering solutions across sectors including public sector, telecommunications, energy and utilities, and retail. She plays a key role in positioning Capgemini Engineering as a strategic partner to clients navigating digital transformation—especially in complex, asset-heavy industries.

Ms Long is known for her considered leadership style, her ability to build high-performing teams, and her focus on delivering value through strong relationships and shared outcomes.

Based in Melbourne, she balances work with morning runs, yoga, and any opportunity to travel. She remains strongly connected to her Monash roots and values the foundation the university provided in shaping her early career and technical grounding.
