Mr Deniz Molokov
Deniz Molokov is the General Manager Cybersecurity Operations at Downer Group and has nearly 20 years’ experience in the IT industry.
Deniz joined Downer Group in 2007 and is a highly valued member of the senior IT team. Throughout his career he has held several management positions including in IT Operations, Strategy, Business Engagement and Service Delivery roles.
He has been involved in complex integration projects including the integration of the Spotless Group business into Downer across IT services. This included data centre, network, end-user computing and service desk.
Deniz has also championed various outsourcing programs with industry leading suppliers including DXC Technology and Tata Consultancy Services. He implemented a Service Integration & Management (SIAM) function along with deploying key strategic toolsets to enable business process, technology, and people efficiency.
Most recently Deniz led an outsourcing program of IT Security services to TCS and Cyber CX and built an internal capability around Security Operations, Digital Forensics, Vulnerability Management and Identity and Access services.
Working in largely outsourced environments, Deniz’s mantra is to embed partners into the Downer ecosystem and to enable the business to consume IT services in a transparent manner. He believes that service excellence is driven by a customer first mindset and that service quality is shaped by customer expectations.
Working with industry leading experts he has deployed technologies within Downer to uplift its Security Operations maturity through Service Information Event Management, Vulnerability Management and Endpoint Detect Response tools.
Deniz holds a Bachelor of Network Computing from Monash University and is ITIL certified. He is currently working towards completing a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) qualification in 2022.
Outside of his IT career, Deniz is an accomplished pianist and has completed his qualifications through the Australian Guild of Music and Speech.
