Sikander Bizenjo
Mr Sikander Bizenjo is a development economist and currently working as the External Engagements Manager at the Dawood Hercules Corporation.
His role entails engaging with global thought-leadership, multilateral organisations, and international stakeholders to learn, contribute and work together towards a sustainable world.
With almost a decade of experience, Mr Bizenjo has previously served at the Ministry of Planning (Government of Pakistan) as well as international organisations on advocacy and community mobilisation.
Mr Bizenjo is also the Co-founder of Balochistan Youth Action Committee (BYAC) – a relief support system to uplift the most marginalized from impoverished Balochistan province.
He was hailed as one of the seven unsung heroes of the pandemic by the founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates in his personal blog. Mr Bizenjo won the United Kingdom Alumni Awards 2021 for his instrumental work during the pandemic.
His work has been featured by his alma maters, University of East Anglia and Monash University, as well as by both national and international media including Dawn, Geo TV, Samaa, Gulf News, Arab News among others.
In addition, he is part of the World Economic Forum (WEF) network of experts and sits at the Advisory Council of WEF’s Global Shapers Community – a network of 10,000 young change leaders from across the world created by the Forum.
Mr Bizenjo holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce from Monash University Malaysia and a Master of Science in Development Economics from the University of East Anglia.
Mr Bizenjo is an avid traveller and enjoys exploring new cultures.
Mr Bizenjo will be awarded his Distinguished Alumni Award in 2022.
