Steven Kastrinakis
Mr Steven Kastrinakis holds degrees in Pharmacy from the Victorian College of Pharmacy, a Master of Pharmacy from Monash University, recently completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course and is a registered pharmacist.
He started his career as a community pharmacist in Moe in 1992 and saw the opportunity to create a pharmacy marketing group in the Gippsland region. From very humble beginnings of the Advantage Group in 2001 with a handful of members, the group grew to 280 member stores in 2020 under the banner groups of Advantage Pharmacy and Chemist Discount Centre. In late 2020 the Advantage Group merged with Pharmacy Catalyst (a NSW based marketing group) to create Pharmacy Platform. A group with 380 pharmacy franchisees. The group continued to invest heavily in Pharmacy IT and created the Buy It Right™ pharmacy stock procurement platform in over 150 pharmacies nationally. Concurrently the group enhanced its data and customer loyalty Platform (Know It All™ ) to service over 900 pharmacies across multiple industry banner groups aligned to national wholesalers.
In March 2022, Mr Kastrinakis as co-Founder and Executive Director of Pharmacy Platform oversaw the merger with its direct competitor Pharmacy Alliance to create the Platform Alliance Group (PAG). As an entity, PAG is Australia’s largest independent pharmacy group and represents 1180 pharmacies (1 in 5 pharmacies nationally) nationally under the Advantage Pharmacy, Alliance Pharmacy, Chemist Discount Centre and Catalyst groups.
PAG has also invested heavily in the retail pharmacy technology space with 2 software programs that help pharmacists manage their businesses. Buy It Right™. Is a stock and inventory management platform, whilst Know It All™ is a pharmacy data and loyalty platform. These platforms are in almost 2,000 pharmacies nationally.
