Dr Filda Citra Yusgiantoro
Dr Filda Citra Yusgiantoro received her Doctor of Philosophy in Business and Economics from Monash University. Prior to that, she earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB); a Master of Business and Management from Università degli Studi di Padova in Italy, and a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Business School in Singapore.
In 2023, Dr Yusgiantoro was recognised as the top academic graduate among both civil servant and non-civil servant participants in the Regular Education Program Batch LXV (PPRA 65) of the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI). In 2024, she received two prestigious awards: the Honorary Member Award from the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO) at the 42nd CAFEO, and the Ganesa Wirya Jasa Utama Award from ITB for her significant contributions to national development and societal progress.
Currently, Dr Yusgiantoro is the Chairperson of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC), an independent nonprofit organisation. PYC focuses on conducting strategic research and providing data-driven solutions that support sustainable practices and national resilience. The organisation’s work aims to address critical issues in energy, the environment, and economic development, with a strong emphasis on promoting sustainability and informed policy-making. She also initiated the Indonesian Journal of Energy, a peer-reviewed journal that aims to be an authoritative source of information for analyses and reviews related to energy. She also found PYC International Energy Conference, a place to discuss global energy issues in the world and in Indonesia in particular.
Dr Yusgiantoro also serves as a lecturer at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, teaching courses such as strategic management at the undergraduate level and business ethics, business strategy, and sustainability management at the postgraduate level. Through her academic work, she fosters the next generation of leaders in business and sustainability.
Beyond her role as a researcher and lecturer, Dr Yusgiantoro is the only Indonesian Board Member of the Climateworks Centre, a nonprofit organisation established by Monash University to support the transition to net-zero emissions in Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific since 2022. She is also a member of the advisory board for the Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering programs at ITB. In these roles, she actively contributes to providing extensive recommendations in mitigating worldwide climate action and improving education. Dr Yusgiantoro’s views on various multidisciplinary issues have been featured in international media. She is also an experienced speaker at national and international conferences.
