Michelle Landy

Ms Michelle Landy is a global executive and lawyer with over two decades of experience spanning Australia, the UK, the USA and Asia. Currently based in New York, she serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and General Counsel (GC) at PERSUIT, a fast-scaling legal tech platform transforming how Fortune 500 companies engage and manage external legal counsel.

Ms Landy began her career in Melbourne after earning Commerce and Law degrees from Monash University — a foundation she credits with equipping her for a dynamic, internationally focused career. After a formative period in private legal practice, she relocated to London where she moved into an in-house legal role for a branding and licensing agency. There, she quickly went on to lead the global legal function, marking a pivotal shift from traditional legal practice to commercial and operational leadership.

She went on to join FremantleMedia (now Fremantle), one of the world’s leading television content companies, where she held progressively senior roles across London, New York, and Singapore. Ms Landy led legal and business affairs teams supporting high-growth commercial divisions and was ultimately appointed COO of Fremantle Asia, overseeing regional operations and driving digital expansion across a diverse portfolio of markets.

Her entrepreneurial spirit and interest in fast-moving businesses led Ms Landy to Kuala Lumpur, where she shifted into the start up space followed by advisory and consultancy roles with startups and emerging companies in the media and technology sectors. These experiences paved the way for her transition into legal technology and her current executive role at PERSUIT. As COO and GC, she leads the legal, compliance, strategy, operations, people and culture, and customer experience functions — playing a key role in scaling the company globally while fostering a values-driven culture.

Throughout her career, Ms Landy has focused on building cross-functional teams, navigating new and complex commercial landscapes, and helping organisations scale through periods of rapid change. She brings a unique ability to bridge legal, operational, and strategic priorities in high-growth environments.

Beyond her corporate work, Ms Landy is Executive Director (President) of the Kilimanjaro Education Foundation, which supports infrastructure development and access to education in Tanzania. She also actively volunteers with organisations supporting unhoused communities in New York.

Ms Landy is passionate about global collaboration, building high-integrity cultures, ethical leadership, and creating pathways for others — particularly women to grow non-linear, fulfilling careers. She continues to draw on the values instilled during her time at Monash: intellectual curiosity, global citizenship, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact.
