Alumnus Tony Johnson (BEc 1988) has been appointed CEO and Regional Managing Partner of Ernst and Young (EY) Oceania.

EY is one of the world’s largest professional services firms with 190,000 employees in over 700 offices covering more than 150 countries.

A partner for more than 16 years, Mr Johnson has worked at the most senior levels of the company servicing some of the world’s largest and prestigious organisations.

He previously held the position of regional managing partner at EY’s Asia-Pacific Financial Services Office.

Prior to this he led EY’s Oceania Assurance practice. He has also been an active member of a number of Australian, Asia-Pacific and Global executive leadership committees within the firm.

In addition to his role at EY, Mr Johnson is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia) and a member of the Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Johnson commenced in his new position in January 2015.
