Monash University has a new director of Alumni Engagement. Sally Leake joined the alumni team in April and will lead Monash’s alumni program which seeks to strengthen engagement with the University’s more than 300,000 graduates.

Sally has previously worked in corporate and strategic management roles at Government House in Canberra and within a large volunteer-based membership organisation in the emergency management sector. She also worked in the private sector as a senior adviser at a communications and government relations firm.

Sally has extensive experience in high-level stakeholder engagement at a national and international level as well as governance, strategy development and implementation, program planning and community development.

Sally said she looked forward to meeting alumni and working with the many local and international networks and groups to develop opportunities for graduates and current Monash students.

"I'm delighted to be working in such a professional, leading-edge organisation that is genuinely international in its focus," Sally said.

"There is considerable potential within the alumni space. I look forward to working with the faculties and other key stakeholders to ensure we create opportunities for enhanced alumni engagement which will be mutually beneficial for alumni and the University.”
