Why study English Bridging?

Have you successfully met the academic entry requirements for Monash Law, but just missed out on the english language entry requirements?

Simply complete the relevant Monash English Bridging course for guaranteed entry to Monash Law.

Courses start before semesters one and two and the August JD Intake. They start from just $520 AU per week.

  • The curriculum is designed for university students and is aligned with the skills you need to succeed at Monash
  • After successfully completing MEB you’ll directly enter the university – no need for an IELTS test

Course Information

As a Monash English Bridging student, you’ll develop the skills required to prepare you for our university program.

During the course you learn to:

  • Communicate effectively in social conversations, academic discussions and presentations
  • Improve your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation
  • Improve your writing, reading and listening skills
  • Understand, apply and explain theories in your area
  • Write summaries and short reports in an academic style
  • Understand and use Australian academic conventions
  • Respond to feedback
  • Become an independent learner

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for Monash English Bridging for University (Advanced):

20-week program
IELTS6.0 (no band lower than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT69 (listening 12, reading 13, speaking 18, writing 21)
Pearson50 (no communicative skills below 50)
15-week program
IELTS6.5 (no band lower than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT79 (listening 12, reading 13, speaking 18, writing 21)
Pearson58 (no communicative skills below 50)
10-week program*
IELTS6.5 (no band lower than 6.5)
TOEFL iBT79 (listening 20, reading 19, speaking 20, writing 24)
Pearson58 (no communicative skills below 58)

When you apply for Monash Law, you will be considered for a place in Monash English Bridging for University (Advanced) if you don't meet our English entry requirements.
