It’s very satisfying to see buildings I’ve helped create transform from drawings into a built form, particularly when I’ve invested so much time and effort into refining and resolving the details. I’m now working full time at Plus Architecture in Melbourne while also undertaking the Architectural Practice Examination to become a registered Architect in Victoria. Prior to that, I’d been at their Brisbane office documenting a student accommodation project.
Studying Architecture at Monash exposed me to different ways of thinking about design and helped me develop a more critical thought process. I found myself questioning things more than I had done in the past – a good thing – and it gave me a more rounded outlook on architectural practice.
I'd come to Monash after spending a year in a commercially driven practice and it was refreshing to step into a design focused environment. Monash helped me understand what kind of an architect I wanted to be and what architecture meant to me.
