My passions for sustainability and craft were both initiated during my time at Monash.Sanderson Bell
I love the variety that I find within my work; working on scales ranging from large school projects or family homes, to small furniture and sculptural pieces. Having a multidisciplinary approach and lifestyle within my work is something that I take great pleasure in.
My career path has been varied so far, across scales and disciplines. The degrees from Monash equipped me with the versatile skills to adapt and work on projects in a number of countries and fields. As both a registered architect and a furniture designer, I think that studying architecture within the same faculty as fine-art was critical to this broad approach. My passions for sustainability and craft were both initiated during my time at Monash and have helped drive my professional career to date. My education at Monash was a springboard to furthering my passion for sustainability at Zen Architects in Melbourne before moving to Copenhagen to further develop this knowledge and skill set. Since founding Stance Studio as a multi-disciplinary design studio, I continue to find that the learnings gained from my time at Monash are still very relevant and helpful.
