Transforming Cities Hub
Transforming Cities Hub
The Transforming Cities Hub develops scalable context-responsive solutions to address the pressing challenges of urban inequality, climate change and environmental degradation across cities in the Indo-Pacific. Our work rests on three inter-related areas: 1) Settlement Upgrading, 2) River Communities and 3) Water Sensitive Cities, with each area of work operating across multiple scales and implementation contexts. Through science-enabled, community codesigned interdisciplinary research, we operationalise a vision of sustainable, inclusive and resilient urban futures.
Transforming Cities Hub is supported by a consortium of academic, industry and government partners, and integrates research, practice, and pedagogy to expand the role of design, fostering co-creation to advance solutions in water-sensitive urban design, circular economy, and settlement upgrading.
