Professor Luke Morgan

Professor Luke Morgan FAHA is Director of Art History & Theory in the Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture. He is a current Australian Research Council Future Fellow and an elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.

His books include Nature as Model: Salomon de Caus and Early Seventeenth-Century Landscape Design (2006) and The Monster in the Garden: The Grotesque and the Gigantic in Renaissance Landscape Design (2016), both published by The University of Pennsylvania Press. He is the editor, with Kathleen Perry Long, of the book series: Monsters and Marvels: Alterity in the Medieval and Early Modern Worlds, published by Amsterdam University Press (https://www.aup.nl/en/series/monsters-and-marvels-alterity-in-the-medieval-and-early-modern-worlds). He is also on the editorial board of the journal Studies in the History of Gardens and Designed Landscapes, which he has guest-edited.
