Consenting Cities workshop
This co-design workshop with Monash University XYX Lab invite participants to make data visible in ways that engage the public and build an awareness of the gendered inequality embedded in our cities. This workshop is aligned to the Consenting Cities exhibition, simultaneously showing at No Vacancy Gallery in Melbourne and the Palazzo Mora in Venice for the Venice Biennale of Architecture.
XYX Lab is a team of experienced design researchers exploring gender-sensitive design practices and theory. Our work operates at the intersection of gender, identity, urban space and advocacy. Through our research, we bring together planners, policy makers, local government and stakeholders to make tangible the experiences of underrepresented communities in urban space and planning.
This event is part of Melbourne Design Week 2023, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV.
