Health by Design: The future of healthcare

05/28/2024 05/31/2024 Australia/Melbourne Health by Design: The future of healthcare

Universally, we all have a desire to live in a thriving and healthy community that improves our collective and individual well-being. It matters to all of us.

Health by Design showcases design’s contribution to improving our health outcomes through new medical technologies, improved digital experiences, new guidelines and services, and health-focused built environments.

This is an exhibition to inspire people to do healthcare better through good design.

The work on display is by Monash University’s Design Health Collab and demonstrates how over the last few years, these design researchers have been collaborating with healthcare partners to enhance our health experience and encompasses new approaches to medicine, healthcare, well-being, and healthy living.

Visitors can engage with interactive displays, see prototypes and case studies, and learn how design thinking can shape policies and protocols, all of which leads to more adaptable, sustainable, and people-centred healthcare.

Blending design, medicine, scientific inquiry, engineering, and technological development to highlight the power of cross-sector collaboration, this exhibition provides an example of how diverse expertise can solve complex challenges. "Health by Design" encourages a collective push towards a more innovative, sustainable, and human-centred healthcare experience for all.

We welcome people from all professions and life stages to see what is possible when design collaborates to create new possibilities to enhance our well-being.

Daily Guided Tour by Researchers from 12-2 pm.
