Join us for a celebration to mark the exhibition "To Forever Ebb and Flow: Queer Time/Migrant Time". The celebration includes a launch of the reader of the exhibition, alongside performances, readings and invocations. Be together in community with music, food and drinks! All are welcome.
Designed by Asad Ali Zulfiqar, the includes contributions, artists projects and texts by Omar Kasmani, Fatimah Asghar, Aisyah Sumito, Eos Dounis, April JY Kim, Momtaza Mehri, Manisha Anjali, Parminder Kaur Bhandal, TextaQueen, Shivanjani Lal and Elyas Alavi.

About the exhibition
To Forever Ebb and Flow: Queer Time/Migrant Time is an evolutive exhibition which includes multiple collaborations and tentacles, conceived by the MADA Gallery Curator in Residence for 2024, Aziz Sohail, a Pakistan-passport holding curator, writer, and PhD candidate in the Curatorial Practice at Monash Art, Design and Architecture. In addition to the exhibition, the project includes sonic interventions, workshops, a reader, commissions and a film programme.

- 4.00 – 5.00 pm: Self viewing of the exhibition, with music, food and drinks throughout the event
- 5.00 – 5.15 pm: Welcome to Country
- 5.15 – 5.45 pm: Collecting and Curating Mindfully and Demurely: An Offering (Satire) With James Nguyen and Aziz Sohail
- 6.00 – 6.20 pm: Multiplied by the Mood: Performance by SAIEESH.
- 6.30 – 7.00 pm: Reader Launch and readings by Manisha Anjali, Texta Queen and Elyas Alavi
- 7.00 – 8.00 pm: DJ set with E. Della Bosca

About the curator
The curator of this project Aziz Sohail is a Pakistani-passport holding curator and writer whose work builds interdisciplinary connections between art, history, archives, literature, theory and biography and supports new cultural and pedagogical infrastructures. Their research and resultant projects honour and recognise the power of queer and feminist collectivity, sociability, joy and wayward encounter and unfold through slowness, collaboration and tentacularity.
