Join us at the Architecture PhD Symposium Shifting Lines, on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 November at Caulfield campus.
Shifting Lines → The MADA Architecture PhD Symposium Nov 2025 brings together guests, staff, and students to consider how architectural research navigates conditions of change, plurality, and interconnectedness. Emerging from a nine-month consultation process, this edition re-energises our symposia through a dialogical format centred on research exchange. Milestone reviews, reflective discussions, and thematic roundtables will anchor four intersecting streams:
Adaptation
Situatedness
Continuity
Circularity
Showcasing how architectural research shifts across scales, contexts, methods, and approaches, these conversations aim to strengthen a more coherent and inclusive research culture within the Department of Architecture at MADA.
