For this project, Monash University collaborated with Holmesglen Institute, Ynomia, and Fologram to leverage Augmented Reality (AR) technologies to advance the assembly processes of prefabricated components within carpentry and construction sectors.

As the principal investigator of this study, our team employed AR tools to enhance various facets including training and upskilling of workforce, provision of assembly instructions, improvement in spatial awareness, reinforcement of quality control measures, and facilitation of collaborative efforts. A notable achievement of this collaboration was the construction of a timber pavilion, assembled in real-time during the annual Building 4.0 CRC conference.
