Moorina Bonini selected to join Creative Australia’s (re)situate Biennale Delegates program

Moorina Bonini (Yorta Yorta, Wurundjeri and Wiradjuri) is one of 15 early career artists selected to to join Creative Australia’s (re)situate Biennale Delegates program.
Monash University’s Moorina Bonini (Yorta Yorta, Wurundjeri and Wiradjuri) is one of 15 early career artists selected to to join Creative Australia’s (re)situate Biennale Delegates program.
She will join a diverse group of delegates including artists, curators, writers, producers, programmers and arts workers who will experience and connect with artists, producers and curators from Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art (face-to-face), Yokohama Triennale (online), and the Venice Biennale (face-to-face). The program will facilitate the exchange of ideas, spark new perspectives, and lay the groundwork for future projects and collaborations.
Moorina Bonini proud descendant of the Yorta Yorta Dhulunyagen family clan of Ulupna and the Yorta Yorta, Wurundjeri and Wiradjuri Briggs/McCrae family. Moorina is an artist whose works are informed by her experiences as an Aboriginal and Italian woman. She recently completed her PhD with Wominjeka Djeembana Indigenous research lab, is a lecturer in fine art and coordinates the BLK1000, Indigenous Australian creative practice and ways of knowing at Monash Art, Design and Architecture.
