The second studio research project explores drawing as a method for learning in the gallery, positioning the gallery as an alternative studio space. Developed in partnership with Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, the research draws directly on the exhibitions presented at ACCA as a starting point for observation, reflection, and experimentation through drawing. By working in response to artworks, spatial conditions, and audience movement, students engage physically and perceptually with the gallery environment, using drawing to record perception and think through visual relationships. The project aims to demonstrate how gallery-based drawing can extend the studio beyond the classroom and develop practical approaches to interdisciplinary, embodied learning in education.
