Balance Exercise Research Group home
Welcome to the Balance Exercise Research Group.
Our mission is to promote positive ageing across the lifespan, enhance functional independence and reduce fall-related harm through evidence-based balance exercise interventions. We conduct research to develop measurement tools and methods to determine optimal exercise prescriptions. Our focus areas include balance exercise intensity measurement, clinical markers of balance challenge, and innovative methodologies for investigating meaningful balance exercise dose-response relationships and programs.
The group is led by Dr Melanie K. Farlie.
We are part of the School of Primary and Allied Health Care.
