Our aims

The aims of the Biostatistics Consulting Platform:

  1. To enhance the quality, efficiency and impact of stakeholders’ research through the provision of biostatistical advice, consultancy and collaboration at all stages of the research process:
    • Concept development
    • Grant application
    • Study design
    • Protocol development
    • Planning
    • Data collection
    • Analysis, reporting and publication
  2. To provide stakeholders with a sustainable biostatistical resource that balances strategic goals and equity of access
  3. To provide a focal point for biostatistics and quantitative researchers in FMNHS and Alfred Health
  4. To identify the need for and conduct research on biostatistical methods that are required for stakeholders’ research programs
  5. To encourage collaborative relationships between researchers in FMNHS, Alfred Health, and appropriate external groups (in particular, cooperative groups of clinical investigators)
