Burns Registry of Australia and New Zealand (BRANZ)
The Burns Registry of Australia and New Zealand (BRANZ) is a clinical quality registry capturing epidemiological, quality of care, and outcome data for adult and paediatric burn patients across Australian and New Zealand burn units.
We're part of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

About Us
This project is a collaboration between the Australian and New Zealand Burn Association (ANZBA) and Monash University, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. We’ve generated significant improvements in both burn injury prevention and patient care.

Data Requests
The BRANZ dataset is a unique resource for projects, and de-identified data is available upon request, and in compliance with ethics guidelines.

Data Collectors
Data collectors at participating ANZBA hospitals in Australia and New Zealand enter burns patient data into the BRANZ database.

Publications & Reports
We publish scientific studies relating to burns in Victoria, and generate reports for government and other stakeholders that influence health and safety policy.

Funding
Our registry is funded by government, professional, and philanthropic organisations.

The registry team comprises of leading experts in the field of trauma and burns, as well as injury epidemiologists and researchers.
