CONNECT-TBI

CONNECT-TBI is a national collaboration designed to improve care
and outcomes for people who experience moderate to severe
traumatic brain injury (TBI).

We're part of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

  • CONNECT-TBI will create a comprehensive national data asset that brings together clinical, biological, imaging, rehabilitation, and outcome data to better understand recovery and support more personalised care.

  • By integrating data from across hospitals, rehabilitation services, and research programs, CONNECT-TBI will provide a powerful foundation for improving treatment pathways and supporting new clinical research and trials.

  • The interdisciplinary consortium includes clinicians, researchers, data scientists, and people with lived experience of TBI, all working together to build a sustainable resource that strengthens Australia’s capacity to deliver world-leading TBI care and research.

CONNECT-TBI is funded by the Medical Research Futures Fund (MRFF).

CONNECT-TBI Workstreams

The delivery of CONNECT-TBI will be guided by three coordinated workstreams focused on Clinical Innovation, Informatics, and Research.
