ASPREE Genomics

The ASPREE Genomics program involves genomic analysis of Australia’s largest clinical trial and study of healthy ageing, made possible by the ASPREE Healthy Ageing Biobank containing biospecimens from more than 15,000 participants. The genomics group has generated large-scale DNA sequencing and genotyping dataset for ASPREE, which have facilitated many national and international collaborations, and resulted in over 30 publications.

Genomic data from ASPREE is now being combined with other multi-omic biomarker datasets from ASPREE, towards an improved understanding of disease risk and health during ageing. This unique resource will facilitate research for many years to come.
