Robyn Gerhard
Using linked data to support evidence-based prevention of serious road traffic crashes
Robyn is a PhD student with a particular interest in the prevention of road trauma in disadvantaged populations. Robyn’s PhD project uses data linkage methods to combine data from trauma registries, ambulance services and road safety databases to understand the characteristics of road traffic crashes and the determinants of injury in road traffic crashes with an overall objective to prevent serious road traffic crashes.
This project involves collaborations with numerous stakeholder organisations including the Transport Accident Commission, the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria.
Robyn is supervised by A/Prof Ben Beck, Professor Belinda Gabbe, Professor Peter Cameron, Professor Stuart Newstead and Assistant Professor Chris Morrison.
