Professor Daniel von Sturmer

Daniel von Sturmer has been exhibiting nationally and internationally since 1995.

In 2007 he was one of three artists representing Australia at the 52nd Venice Biennale. He has exhibited at numerous international public venues including the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), Melbourne; Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego; the Gothenburg Museum of Art, Sweden; the Hamburger Bahnhoff Museum, Berlin, Auckland Art Gallery, Govett-Breswter Art Gallery, New Plymouth, Dazibao, Montreal, Kunst Haus, Hamburg, CCNOA, Brussels. Recent solo exhibitions include The Field Equation at ACCA, Melbourne (2006); Set Piece at Site Gallery, Sheffield (2009); The Cinema Complex at Anna Schwartz Gallery, Sydney (2010); and Video Works, at Karsten Schubert, London (2010).

He has participated in numerous international festivals, screenings and biennales including the Sydney Biennale (2002, 2004), Walters Prize (2004), Adelaide Biennial (2006), Anne Landa Award (2006), DenHaag Sculptuur (2007), Perth International Arts Festival (2009), AVIA Video Art Festival, Sweden (2012).
