Homes NSW MMC Program

“Through prototyping, both digitally and physically, and collecting performance data through benchmarking studies — we’re supporting the development of a new approach to housing delivery.” — Associate Professor Duncan Maxwell

This project is a collaboration between Building 4.0 CRC, Monash University, and the University of Melbourne, working with HomesNSW to support the development of their public housing delivery toward a scalable, platform-based model. Through applied research in modern methods of construction (MMC), the research investigates how design standardisation, supply chain collaboration, prototyping, and offsite manufacture can improve quality, reduce delivery times, and enhance liveability across social housing projects. The aim is to enable repeatable, adaptable housing solutions that respond to both policy and community needs.
