You are invited to attend a series of hands-on experiential events at Monash Art, Design and Architecture at our Caulfield Campus to fully get a taste of life as part of our creative community.

This workshop will explore form and image-based outcomes and will take you through the process of creating a three-dimensional abstracted form in clay, and then using this form as the basis for generating drawing works. Working both individually and collaboratively with the group, you can experience various workshop and media available at Monash and develop new approaches to your own art practice.

Parents/Guardians do not need to register.

Design proto-TYPES

28 September, 10am –12.30pm and 1pm – 3.30pm (repeat session)

Prototypes are design outcomes that test how an idea might operate in the world. This session will introduce you to the prototype process; using type and language as the foundation of the project. Whether you're interested in Communication Design, Industrial Design or Spatial Design this project will surface your creative skills in design; provide you with methods to generate design ideas, and allow you to experience the Monash approach to design education.

Mock Architecture Studio

28 September, 10am –12.30pm and 1pm – 3.30pm (repeat session)

In this mock studio workshop, you will experience first-hand what it's like to be an architecture student working collaboratively to put ideas to work in the world. You will learn about our architectural studio environment and approach and how we prepare our students to be work-ready by working on a real-life project and sites after their time with us.
