Communication design brings together digital and interactive design, graphic design and visual communication. You’ll graduate with a deep understanding of identity and social engagement and the skills to combine tactile and digital processes, preparing you to be a future-focused design professional.

allowing you to benefit from the most up-to-date professional knowledge and experience.
Studio-based learning
Monash Design’s studio-based learning model emphasises hands-on, practical learning and fosters an environment where you can engage creatively in project-based practice throughout your degree. You’ll collaborate in small groups under the guidance of design professionals to develop your design skills and conceptual thinking to answer some of the pressing issues facing society today.
Go Global
Broaden your horizons and gain a new perspective on your creative practice by taking your studies global. No what matter what you're studying with us, you'll have a chance to take a unit at our Monash University Prato Centre in Italy, or participate in a travelling studio to Japan or to Korea.
Internships
No matter which specialisation you choose, you can take an internship as part of your design degree. Internships are a great way to apply your skills and knowledge into a real work environment and to grow your professional network while you study. You can either source your own placement or we can help connect you with organisations looking for design interns.
