TRM-SLE domains selected: Study results published in Lupus Science & Medicine

Further to development of a consensus statement on how to develop the TRM-SLE, the next major work of the TRM-SLE Taskforce has been published in Lupus Science & Medicine: the results of a modified Delphi study involving 87 doctors and 13 patients through which eight domains of active immune-mediated disease manifestations have been selected for measurement as part of the TRM-SLE instrument. Kathryn Connelly Clinical Researcher of the Year on TRM-SLE project team

Australian Rheumatologist and Monash University PhD student Dr Kathryn Connelly was awarded the prestigious 2023 Victorian Premier’s Award for Clinical Research for her PhD work. As part of her PhD, Dr Connelly sought to understand why current lupus trial endpoints are failing, conducted studies that fill knowledge gaps relevant to measuring treatment response in SLE, and led development of the scientific protocol for TRM-SLE instrument development.
