Ms Hau Nguyen

Research Officer and Data Manager, Global and Women's Health
Ms Nguyen is a Research Officer and experienced Data Manager in the Global and Women’s Health Unit. Prior to joining Monash University in 2011, she worked across government, commercial, not-for-profit, and academic organisations in Vietnam and Australia.
Ms Nguyen has coordinated data collection and managed complex datasets for a range of research projects, including longitudinal studies and randomised controlled trials. She has extensive expertise in managing data from multiple sources; designing research data entry forms and online surveys using Microsoft Access, REDCap, Qualtrics, and SurveyMonkey; developing and maintaining participant tracking databases in Microsoft Access and REDCap; and cleaning and analysing data using SPSS and Stata.
In addition, she provides broad operational support for research studies and activities, including overseeing file management, assisting with funding and data-sharing agreements, maintaining Sapphire and RMS profiles, and creating and managing PURE records for applications, grants, and publications.
Ms Nguyen is a member of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) Research Governance team, where she supports the management of the SPHPM’s Data Management Plan and Data Management Tool. She also serves as Secretary of the SPHPM Data Strategy Committee.
