These two papers, published in the Lancet Journals, present the findings of our cluster randomised controlled trial of a parenting program in rural Vietnam designed to address multiple risks to early childhood development. It was effective in improving the toddlers’ cognitive development and parent caregiving behaviours (Fisher et al. 2023). The economic evaluation found that the program is cost-effective, supporting its potential for scaling up (Baek et al. 2023).
