Global and Women's Health
From Australia to Vietnam, India to the Solomon Islands, our research takes us throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Capitalising on the expertise in our team and working with project partners, we generate evidence to explain health inequalities in their local and global contexts; translate research to promote health and improve health services; and build capacity through supervision and mentorship.
We're part of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
We are a multi-disciplinary group with expertise in biostatistics, epidemiology, health promotion, medicine, nursing, and psychology. Through our global health research, we seek to promote health for all and to reduce health inequalities.
We frequently contribute to media reports relating to our research and contemporary debates about health and health equity.
Our areas of research include psychosocial aspects of ageing, reproductive health, pregnancy and childbearing, early childhood health and development, and chronic illness.
