The lymphatic system
The lymphatic system is a vital part of the body’s immune and circulatory system, as it is responsible for transporting immune cells to areas where they are needed and maintaining fluid balance throughout the body. The lymphatic system includes lymph vessels, lymph nodes, the spleen, thymus, mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT), bone marrow and lymphocytes.
