Global Leaders' Network
"Adopt as your fundamental creed that you will equip yourself for life, not solely for your own benefit but for the benefit of the whole community."
Sir John Monash
A network of alumni changing the world
As an exclusive community of prominent alumni located around the world, our Global Leaders’ network creates opportunities for students, alumni and the university to share knowledge, broaden professional and personal networks and enrich the student learning experience through various programs, research and activities.
The Global Leaders’ Network Advisory Groups (GLNAG) are select groups of alumni based in Monash’s key locations. These volunteer groups were established to lead by example and enhance alumni engagement opportunities.
Global Discovery Program
The Global Discovery Program is an award winning study tour of New York City where students can learn from influential alumni and corporate decision makers and has been operating for over ten years. The Program was created and philanthropically funded by our New York Alumni and Committee.
Find the joy of mentoring
Provide the next generation with advice and encouragement, as well as new skills and institutional knowledge. You’re invited to join one of our global mentoring programs to share your experience and expertise no matter where you live in the world. Become a mentor today.
Philanthropic giving that makes an impact through the generations
Philanthropic giving makes an impact now, and benefits future generations. At Monash, our community of supporters are changing it with life-saving discoveries, breakthrough research and empowering your future leaders through the gift of a scholarship. We invite you to join us.
Thought Leadership
Monash is a dynamic place of discovery. You can give back to the Monash community by sharing your time and expertise. Your insights and experience can contribute to Monash programs and events through giving a graduation address, being a guest speaker, delivering a guest lecture and facilitating a professional development workshop.
We also feature our Global Leader’s Network in Monash publications such as Monash Life magazine, Monash Lens, A Different Lens mini-documentary series, and the What Happens Next? podcast. We welcome your involvement in these conversations with the community. If you would like to be involved, please contact us on the contact details provided at the bottom of the page.
Giving a graduation address
Graduation ceremonies are a formal occasion to celebrate the academic achievement of our graduating students. A graduation address inspires new graduates as they make their transition from university into the workplace. Ceremonies are held in Australia, Malaysia, China, India and Indonesia.
Monash Life
Monash Life features the latest inspiring stories from Monash University and Monash alumni around the world. Read how Monash alumni, researchers and students are transforming our future, for good.
What Happens Next?
Winner of the gold award for Best Documentary and the bronze award for Best Conversation Starter in the 2022 Signal Awards, listen as Dr Susan Carland steps through the sliding doors with global experts and thought leaders to explore the societal changes that we should pursue, and potential consequences of inaction.
Flagship Rich Educational Experiences
Every Monash Student will have the opportunity to undertake global immersion, industry, research and volunteering experiences. Students will directly work to address the global challenges of our time. Our Alumni have the opportunity to partner with our Flagship Rich Educational Experiences to:
- Address a business challenge faced by your company that you may not have the staff, time or resources to devote to
- Gain fresh perspective from students and receive tangible, innovative solutions that can be put into practice
- Gain access to future talent.
