Expert Pedagogies in Creative Collaboration
Expert Pedagogies in Creative Collaboration
Our mission is to identify and promote signature pedagogies that foster and support expertise in creative collaborative practices in and beyond music.
A key focus of the School’s work is the development of pedagogies that foster and sustain creative collaborative practice in and beyond music. Initial projects are focusing on the concept of signature pedagogies in music learning and teaching, and the identification of the environmental supports and constraints of expert pedagogical practice. This work investigates learning from the earliest years of music engagement through to the work of emerging and expert practitioners. Collaborators in these projects include Professor Andrea Creech (McGill University), working with Professor Margaret Barrett and Dr Katie Zhukov at Monash University.
