About this program

Selected students will be enrolled in the BEX3726/BEX5726 units in the Term 1 (T1-57) teaching period.

This unit may count towards your undergraduate or postgraduate degree as a major, capstone, or elective unit.

Discover the complexity and opportunity of an emerging market economy on the Argentina Study Tour, based in Buenos Aires—one of Latin America’s leading cultural and commercial hubs. This immersive program offers students the opportunity to explore a dynamic business environment shaped by economic volatility, innovation and global connectivity.

Through a combination of academic sessions and industry engagement, students will examine key themes such as  financial systems in emerging markets, entrepreneurship and innovation, technology and the knowledge economy, and the role of business in driving social impact.

Participants will engage with a range of organisations to gain practical insights into operating in a complex and rapidly evolving environment. Company visits and guest sessions may include organisations across sectors such as finance, technology, e-commerce, venture capital and social enterprise.

The program also incorporates cultural and experiential learning, providing context on Argentina’s history, society and business practices, and enabling students to reflect on how local conditions influence strategic decision-making.

Blending academic learning with real-world exposure, this program equips students with valuable perspectives on doing business in Latin America and other emerging market contexts.

Students are required to attend a pre-departure briefing on a date and location to be advised.
