Monash University Engineering Teams Achieve Unprecedented Win at Engineering Innovation Challenge 2023

Monash University's engineering team, supervised by Prof Chao Chen, has emerged as champion at the Engineering Innovation Challenge 2023 in Singapore in a historic triumph.  After running for 14 years, the competition witnessed Monash University's debut and the first international champion.

Out of 137 participating teams, both Monash teams secured spots in the final prototyping stage after months of dedicated work and innovation. Team U-9, representing Monash, secured 1st place in the highest category - Category 4, designated for Universities – Local and Overseas. Their victory was celebrated at Singapore's National Engineers Day with the presence of Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister as the Guest of Honor. The accomplishment showcases Monash's commitment to excellence, innovation, and global recognition.
