Call for Bachelor of Architectural Design Tutors + Studio Leaders now open for S2 2026
Are you interested in teaching Architecture at Monash University?
The Department of Architecture is an internationally networked community of practitioners, educators and researchers engaged in expanding architectural, urban and planning practice.
Embedded in Australia’s largest research-intensive university, the Department of Architecture at Monash University is a globally connected community of more than 800 students, 50 international faculty, and 100 sessional staff. Our design research and undergraduate and graduate degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning and Design engage Melbourne, Australia, and the Indo-Pacific as living laboratories.
Our work confronts the most urgent issues of our time: housing equity and social justice, construction for accessibility and affordability, the challenges of informal settlements and environmental repair, radical decarbonisation, and the imagining of new spatial, cultural, and technological futures.
Through a distinctive model of creative practice, Monash Architecture addresses pressing societal challenges with innovation, care, and criticality—driven by the belief that architecture can be an agent of change, shaping futures that are more just, sustainable, and beautiful.
For Semester 2026 we have a limited call for sessionals across key subject areas in our undergraduate programme. If you are interested please take a look at at this document.
If you have any questions please contact the Chief Examiner listed on each separate call.
If you have broader questions around the course of study and the programme, please contact the relevant Course Director Dr Tom Morgan - tom.morgan@monash.edu
Deadline for the expression of interest is 5pm, Friday 12 June.
