Since the launch of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Framework in 2023, we have strengthened our commitment to cultural safety by embedding Indigenous health education across our programs.

East Gippsland medical scholarship awarded to student focussed on supporting the Gippsland community

In 2024, medical student Daniel Patchett received the East Gippsland Medical Scholarship from RWAV, recognising his dedication to the Gippsland community.

Empowering future health professionals through work experience

Monash Rural Health Bendigo’s program delivered 800+ hours of work experience to local students, offering a first-hand look at life as a Monash medical student and inspiring future health professionals across the region.

MMO holds biggest rural concert to date

The Monash Medical Orchestra’s 8th Music for the Valley concert wowed Gippsland, with 60 performers and a record 200+ attendees enjoying over two hours of live music—its biggest turnout yet.
