Dr Ben Meadley is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer. Ben's doctoral project investigated the physiological and metabolic health of paramedics, as well as specialist paramedic task performance. With a background in exercise science and paramedicine, Ben combined these passions to improve the health and wellbeing of paramedics as well as the clinical care they deliver. Ben is a founding member and researcher at the Monash University Paramedic Health and Wellbeing Research Unit.
Ben has more than 24 years industry experience, gaining expertise in prehospital critical care, paramedic education, human performance, paramedic health and wellbeing and clinical guideline development. Ben is a senior Intensive Care Flight Paramedic (MICA) with Ambulance Victoria, dividing his time between clinical, teaching and research roles. He is also a Fellow of the Australasian College of Paramedicine.
