Smart Ward

Smart Ward - PREDICT (Predicting Risk and Early Deterioration through Intelligent Continuous moniToring)

Caring for hospitalised older adults is challenging due to their complex health issues, which can lengthen hospital stays and increase the risk of falls, delirium, and other complications. Limited resources make prevention difficult, often leading to restrictive measures that can harm patients. This project aims to establish whether advanced movement sensors can better predict risks and enable safer, more personalised care, improving patient safety and outcomes.
