Prato 2013

From 5 to 7 June 2013, the ANZIC-RC hosted the inaugural Collaborative Clinical Trials in Intensive Care Medicine Conference at the Monash University Centre in Prato (near Florence), Italy, with invited attendees from 13 countries. The conference was held concurrently with the inaugural Collaborative Clinical Trials in Anaesthesia Conference. The organsing committee comprised of Prof Jamie Cooper (Convenor), Prof Paul Myles, Prof Gilles Capellier, Dr Vin Pellegrino, Ms Lynne Murray and Ms Amanda Martin (Coordinator).

The Prato 2013 conference was invaluable for strengthening and further developing the ANZIC-RC's international collaborations, particularly in the areas of traumatic brain injury and ECMO. It was also an ideal venue for investigator meetings with European investigators for ANZIC-RC multi-centre trials.
