International Nutrition Survey

This study was a collaboration with Queens University and Kingston General Hospital in Canada. It was a repeat of the successful 2007 International Nutrition Survey which documented nutrition practices in 156 intensive care units (ICUs) in 22 countries around the world. Siouxzy Morrison, formerly the ANZIC-RC Nutrition Research Fellow and now its Executive Officer, was invited to be the Project Manager for this study by the Chief Investigator, Daren Heyland, from Kingston General Hospital. This was an excellent opportunity for collaboration with the Canadian Group to increase the international profile of our Nutrition Research Program and our Centre. The survey took place on 14 May 2008 and the results were presented at the Asia Pacific Critical Care Congress in Sydney in October 2008.
