Dr Javier Jimenez Martin is a Clinical Project Manager at the Monash Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. He has a BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Havana and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Neuroscience) from the University of Otago. He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Queensland Brain Institute, University of Queensland, before joining Monash University in 2022. Javier has worked in several research areas, including experimental neuroscience, pharmacology, neurological disorders (Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and anxiety) and occupational respiratory disease (Silicosis).
