Climate change evidence synthesis
In collaboration with the Australian Living Evidence Collaboration (ALEC) and Cochrane Australia, Professor Karin Leder is helping coordinate a pioneering effort to produce climate-relevant systematic reviews that will guide critical healthcare decision-making.
Recognising the urgent need for synthesised evidence on pressing climate and health issues, this ambitious strategy brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts, including climate scientists and climate health researchers, including staff from the Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Unit. The team also includes clinicians, health service managers, and evidence synthesis specialists, creating a highly skilled and responsive workforce.
Through pilot systematic reviews, this initiative will not only highlight the practical impact of evidence synthesis in addressing climate health challenges but also foster expertise and capacity among all contributors.
