Event Logistics

The University can assist you with everything you require for a successful event. Not only by providing a venue, but also with other additional services for your event.

Cleaning and Waste

Venue Services work with the university cleaning services to notify them of upcoming events as well as specific requirements tailored to each event.

To assist with your event, we can arrange anything from additional cleaning, removal of rubbish, vacuuming and wiping down of furniture, hiring of general and recycling bins or other specific requirements you may have.

Drones

If you wish to operate drones on the premises, please contact us via email venueservices@monash.edu or phone 9905 3101 to submit your interests and we will guide you with the necessary steps required.

Furniture

Venue Services are able to arrange the supply of additional furniture, in addition to what the hired venue supplies, through the university’s internal supplies. If your requirements are not met, the Venue Services are also able to offer a list of preferred suppliers who will be able to assist you further.

As an alternative you may like to consider, a variety of second hand furniture is available for sale at the Reuse Centre or via the shop.monash online store. Our warehouse is open to Monash departments, students, staff and the general public, every Tuesday 9am - 3pm.

Insurance

If you require a Public Liability Insurance for your event however are not able to supply your own certificate, Venue Services are able to arrange cover for you to the value of $20 Million for a fee of $70 plus GST per day.


OHS and Risk Management

All external contractors including caterers must complete an OHS and site-specific online contractor induction before providing their service.

Parking

Parking is available on all campuses. Parking restrictions apply all year, unless otherwise specified, and infringement notices will be issued to vehicles parked illegally. Please observe signs at all times whilst on campus.

Security

Monash University requires security guards to be in attendance for all after hour and weekend events that are considered to be high risk. Depending on the nature of the event, Venue Services will complete an assessment on a case by case basis.

Venue Set Ups and Re-sets

Venue Services liaise with key stakeholders to arrange suitable room set up and resets to ensure your event is a success using existing furniture or furniture you have hired in.
