Summary
This project developed and validated a preference-based wellbeing index that will be used to routinely measure and monitor the subjective wellbeing of people with disability. The index is patient-centred, evidence-based, and policy-relevant.This was a multi-stage study. In the first stage, we developed a classification system for the NDIS Wellbeing Index, which aligns closely with the NDIS Outcomes Framework and Australia’s Disability Strategy. In the second stage, we developed a value set for the new wellbeing index. The resulting instrument is the Disability Wellbeing Index (DWI).
